Sujan received BS (IT), MBA (University of Houston) in US and has been working as Senior Software Engineer at Wells Fargo NA. His professional expertise include high volume data processing/movement in financial and healthcare industries. Also an executive member of UNCON (USA Nepal Community Outreach Network), he has been involved with charity organizations here in US as well as back home. Sujan lives in Frisco, TX with his wife Reeta.
Roshan Simkhada, PE, CBSI
Project Planning & Implementation
Roshan is a member of nec ‘99 Civil Group and has been actively involved from the beginning of our initiatives. Born in Dhading district of Nepal and raised in Kathmandu, he completed his graduation in Civil Engineering from Nepal Engineering College and earned his Master’s degree in Civil Engineering from Widener University. Roshan has more than 12 years of experience in civil engineering in PA, NJ, DE, and MD ranging from medium to large scale projects. His expertise includes roadway design, water resources and bridge inspection. He holds professional engineering and certified bridge safety inspection licenses from the state of Pennsylvania. Roshan lives in Oaks, PA with his wife and two daughters.
Born in Gorkha and raised in Pokhara, Nepal, Suman completed his M.B.B.S from Bharatpur Medical College, Nepal and his MD from State University of New York. He is living with his wife and son in Yakima, WA where he is practicing as a Primary Care Physician.
Suman Pandey, MD
Balendu was born and raised in Nepal. He holds MBA degree from Northwest Missouri State University, Project Management Professional certification (PMP) from Project Management Institute, and is Certified Scrum Master (CSM) by Scrum Alliance. During his ten plus years of professional career life, Balendu have worked for industry leading companies like, Fannie Mae, Capital One, Department of Labor, and Freddie Mac wearing different hats as consultant and full time employee. Currently, he holds Senior Project Manager position at Freddie Mac (Financial Company in Secondary Mortgage Market). Besides his professional career, Balendu has actively participated and dedicated his services to needed community throughout his lifetime. He served as member of Lions Club during his undergraduate years by driving blood donation program (in association with Red Cross Society), walkathon in DC, and various fund raising program during Hurricane Katrina victims and 2015 Nepal Earthquake in Northern Virginia. Balendu lives in Herndon, VA with his wife and two children.

Prashant Dhungana, PMP

Prashant is a member of nec ‘99 Civil Group and has been actively involved from the beginning of our initiatives. He is a Project Management/Project Controls professional with over 10 years of experience managing wide variety of projects including Heavy Civil/Highway, Airports, Commercial construction and Energy Projects with size ranging anywhere from $10M to over $2B USD. Prashant has Bachelors in Civil Engineering and a Masters in Construction Management, his expertise includes monitoring and controlling projects to ensure successful on-time and under-budget completions. Prashant is currently employed as a Senior Project Controls Analyst with Pioneer Natural Resources, an upstream Oil and Gas exploration and production company based out of Irving, TX. He lives in Dallas, TX with his wife.
Bikas has been involved in education sector for more than 15 years. He was a school teacher and had successfully operated few schools in Nepal. He has a great enthusiasm to contribute on social causes especially education. Currently, he lives in New York with his wife and two children and work as an Assistant Manager at one of the international chain of convenience stores.
Menuka Basnyat, born in Kathmandu, Nepal, holds Master’s Degree in Zoology from Tribhuvan University. She worked as Membership and Education Officer for Bird Conservation Nepal. In that role, she conducted awareness activities in various parts of the country, successfully coordinated ecosystem management project (funded by BirdLife International) in Shivapuri Nagarjun National Park and also coordinated a sustainable livelihood project which provided Homestay and Animal husbandry training to villagers around Pokhara (funded by Canadian Fund for Local Initiative [CFLI]). Currently, she is working as Benefits Administration Specialist in Xerox. She has been serving communities in Nepal as a member of Lions Club of Kathmandu Golden Eye for last 14 years. During this time, she was elected as club President, District Chairperson and Zone chairperson. She lives in New Jersey with her spouse Bimal Bhattarai.
Sangita Rana is a member of nec ’99 Civil Group and has been actively involved from the beginning of our initiatives. She is a Water Resources Engineer at Tarrant Regional Water District (TRWD). She works towards providing high quality drinking water for over two million people in North Texas. Sangita has an MS in Environmental Engineering from Southern Methodist University and is an active member of the American Water Works Association. Following her passion in sustainable Infrastructure design, Sangita Rana takes a lead role in sustainability at the District. Apart from her day job, Sangita has been involved in Children’s education in Nepal for the past ten years. Sangita is native of Nepal and presently resides in Texas with her husband and a seven year old son. In her spare time she likes to paint abstract art and listen to TED talks.

Snehalata Singh, native of Nepal, is a member of nec ‘99 Civil Group and has been actively involved from the beginning of our initiatives. She has 10+ years of experience under her belt managing construction contracts for major above and underground infrastructure primarily in water/sewer sector. She has been involved in asset management, planning/design, project controls and construction management. of the design-build project she was involved in was awarded ENR's Best Project in Water/Environment Category. Snehalata has BS in Civil Engineering and a MBA. When she is not busy with her day job as Project Manager, Construction, you can find her traveling, exploring places, volunteering at various non-profit organizations, singing, taking photographs, and interior decorating.
Amit Dhungana is currently working as a Principal architect at ClearOne Advantage. He also graduated from Nepal Engineering College (nec). He has Master's degree from Maharishi University, Iowa. Amit Dhungana was activity involved in social work organization like Helping Hand. He was born in Chitwan Nepal and currently lives with his family in Laurel, MD.
