Rapid Visual Assessment of Earthquake Affected Building
Aftermath of the April 2015 earthquake, our founding team participated in earthquake impact assessment of buildings organized by Nepal Engineering Association's program of "Rapid Visual Assessment of Earthquake Affected Building". The program concentrated on providing safety assessment of buildings assessing whether the building was safe to stay in, need repair before residing, or unsafe for living.

Further, the team volunteered to provide its consulting service to the affected people on re-strengthening of building. Volunteering service locations were Khokana, Dharmasthali, Dhading, Raniban, Pharping, Bhotebahal, Duwakot, Bhaktapur, Makwanpur, and Gorkha. This group assessed more than 500 buildings during this period. During the course of visit and interactions, communities regularly requested support to re-strengthen the damaged public school buildings and support to build earthquake resistant buildings that can function effectively without concerns of risking children's lives after re-opening of the schools.
