Shree Tamangkharka Secondary School

Shree Tamangkharka Secondary School is located in Ganga Jamuna-4, Dhading in Bagmati Province, Nepal. Dhading is the only district of Nepal which ranges from the mountain Ganesh Himal to the Churevawar pradesh of Terai (Chitwan). The people of the district are primarily Bhramin and Chetri in the south and Tamang and Gurung in the north, with much of the center Newari.

 

School is providing education to a total of 114 students and almost 35% of the students are from the underprivileged communities as dalit/ Janjati and more girls are enrolled than boys. School was looking for support to setup computer labs and sporting goods. EAI provided 10 computers, 1 Projector and 1 Printer to setup “Nanda/ Durga Resource Center” in the school which will be used by students as well as community during off school hours. 

 

Project is funded by the grandchildren of Nanda Prasad Simkhada and Durga Devi Simkhada in the memory of their grandparents at their home village and also supported the School to furnish the computer rooms. "Nanda/ Durga Resource Center" was inagurated/ handover to the school management committee in a function organized at a school in June 2019.
