Sunukuda Higher Secondary School
Sunukuda Higher Secondary School is located in Bajhang, Nepal. Sunukuda School was established in 2017 B.S. (1960 A.D.) with grades ranging from 1 through 5. By the year 2059 B.S. (2002 A.D.), school was able to increase the class level from Grade 5 to 12 establishing itself as a high school. 5 years thereafter, in 2064 B.S. (2007 A.D.), Sunukuda opened up its door to provide higher education (undergraduate degree) to the local youths establishing itself as a source to enlighten students not only from Sunukunda, Bajhang but also nearby 20 Village Development Committee (VDC)s college students. The school has 500 students from dalit, janjati and disadvantaged families including 142 female students.

School has a building with 5 classrooms which are being shared between elementary school in the afternoon and undergraduate classes in the morning. The school is in tremendous pressure to build a second floor to accommodate the growing need. However, the financial situation of the school is insufficient to go for construction.
EAI decided and signed mou with the school management committee to provide financial assistance to complete the second floor of the building that will provide opportunity for more students to get enrolled in school in this one of the most remote parts of Nepal.

Project completed in December 2016.
